Where Young Leaders Discover Their Voice

KidTalks is a 10-lesson online course that helps kids and teens build confidence, develop leadership skills, and learn how to communicate effectively. Students learn through self-paced lessons, weekly group virtual calls led by an instructor, and assignments that reinforce their growth.

KidTalks is designed for kids and teens ages 4–16. The lessons and group calls are structured so that each child is challenged at their level while still having fun and building real-world skills.

At the moment, only Grades 5–7 are available, but more grade levels will be released soon.

Your child completes each lesson at their own pace during the week, then joins a weekly live group virtual call with an instructor and other students to practice speaking, get feedback, and learn together. Weekly assignments reinforce what they’ve learned.

Through our course software, students also receive handouts to print at home, or you can choose to purchase the full handbook for convenience. They can connect with peers in our safe online community group, giving them a chance to encourage each other and grow together

All KidTalks staff are fully trained in vulnerable sector awareness and have up-to-date criminal record checks. Every group virtual call is recorded and can be provided to parents upon request. Your child’s safety and well-being are always our top priority.

Parents don’t need to sit in on lessons, but you’ll receive regular updates so you can track your child’s progress. Many parents tell us they love seeing the difference KidTalks makes at home, at school, and in their child’s confidence. We also encourage you to have conversations with your child about what they are learning, listen to their practice speeches, and provide encouragement along the way—your support makes their growth even stronger.

On average, students spend about one hour on the self-paced lesson and another hour in the weekly live group call. With assignments and practice, families can expect 2–3 hours each week. As their skills grow over the 10-week program, students will also need extra time to rehearse and polish their speeches so they can present with confidence.

Graduates can continue to grow their skills by participating in KidTalks-led speaking events. They may also choose to branch out on their own or join our exclusive KidTalks Speakers Bureau for ongoing opportunities.

Yes. Every lesson is built to give kids practical tools and real practice. Many students who were shy at the start finish the course ready to speak in class, take on leadership roles, and communicate with confidence.

Along with new skills and confidence, students earn badges for both individual and group participation. At the end of the course, they receive a certificate of completion they can be proud of. Students also have the opportunity to present their final speech—either virtually or at a live KidTalks event—giving them a real stage to showcase their growth.
